Orebić is one of the most popular tourist resorts on the Pelješac Peninsula. The small pretty town and harbour is situated along the Pelješac channel on the Southern shore, facing the Old town of Korčula, just 120 km from the city of Dubrovnik. Orebić takes its name from a XVIth century family of sea captains and was primarily built as a defence against the Turks.
